To understand creativity we must identify and separate myths from reality - where possible.

The difficulty between myths and reality is there is a semblance of truth surrounding the myths of creativity:

  • Strong creative ideas do appear to show up mysteriously and almost magically (in the barrooms, bathrooms and bedrooms of our experience)
  • Some of the most creative people in history have not been the most stable socially

However, in reality we believe that it is possible to effectively manage the creative process.
